My biggest memory at Faith Week was the year Charlie Hall was doing a concert. It was the summer of 1998. Halfway through the concert, we wanted more of God’s presence. Charlie Hall is an incredible man and worship leader, but that night we were hungry for so much more. During our tabernacle time, this is where each church gathers together individuallyto debrief each night, there was a moment when our youth pastor just started crying out to God because we were hungry for more. The next thing I know, I look over and all of us were on our faces and we’re just crying out to God. The Spirit of God was all over us. We were praying things that just didn’t fit the norm for a church service. It was just the most incredible experience that I’ve ever had in my life. And what’s great, these guys that have grown up with me, guys that I went to school with and friends from that youth group, we still talk about that to this day and that was 15 years ago. So it’s one of those deals that you look back and remember that time in the valley when God really moved on us in such a mighty way. It blew us all away. Now I’m a youth pastor at Faith Week. As I’ve watched my students grow in God, I have a couple of students who have just astounded me. One student felt the Lordcalling him to move to Saudi Arabia to be a missionary and that’s just an incredible calling his life. So those are some of the most memorable moments from myself at Faith Week.
