I remember a significant moment was when I was in the sanctuary at Faith Week. It was at a time of my life where I was conflicted and trying to figure out if I was called in to the ministry. I remember the guest speaker, Brad (who didn’t know me), came up and tapped me on the shoulder saying, “Hey, I just want you to know that you’ve been marked by the Lord.” That statement was the Lord speaking to me. It confirmed in me the fact that I was chosen and called out by the Lord to do a ministry. Ever since then, I’ve been pursuing that call. So it was really significant.
Faith Week is an atmosphere that eliminates distraction. In the world today, we have so much distraction that hindrance the ability for you to sit and be with the Lord. The best thing about Faith Week is you’re there for solid week, pretty much distraction free and getting poured into. People are loving on you and presenting truth, and hopefully you yourself are pursuing truth at the same time. I know that in this world where there’s not a lot of people walking out what it looks like to be a believer in the Christ. But, at Faith Week, you will see it and you will meet God there.
To adults…come! Jesus is not just there for the young. The Spirit of the Lord always shows up revealing to you who He is as you seek Him. So be at ease because your kids are in good hands. We love them and we want to take care of them. But if you want to come, I’d say come. It’s an awesome experience! I know many parents and other adultswho continue to come back year after year to serve these young people but they themselves are being touched by God as well.
